ANTHEMION Collection. Inspired by ancient Greek architecture ornaments at the corners of pediments, Acroteria. Acroterion is an architectural ornament placed on a flat pedestal called the acroter or plinth, and mounted at the apex or corner of the pediment of a building in the classical style. Most of them seem to have been flower shaped, often resembling a palm leaf, acanthus or honeysuckle. The Greek ‘anthemion’ meaning ‘flower’ or ‘blossom’, was a prominent spiritual symbol of life and renewal.
